Ascensión al pic de Bugatet, 2880m, desde la carretera de Cap de Long, 2000m, por el circo de Bassia Gran, a la izquierda del valle de Estaragne.

Igoera azkarra, gailurraren piramidea eta ibarretik zuzen jeisten den espoloi arteko lepoa helduz, 2571m, ondoren korridore zuzen bat jarraituz, eta amaitzeko ezkerraldeko ertza igarotuz, azkeneko zatian jolasgarri bihurtzen dena. Neouvielleko mendiguneruntz eta bere lakuetaruntz ikusmira bikaina eskeintzen duena. 

Una ascensión rápida, que gana un collado entre la piramdide somital y el espolón que baja hacía el valle, 2571m, de ahí se sube una canaleta hasta ganar la cresta de la izquierda, bastante entretenida, que ofrece unas preciosas vistas sobre el macizo de Neouvielle y sus lagos.

A fast ascent, we must achieve the pass between the pyramid of the summit and the rock spur that falls direct to the valley, 2571m. Afterwards we go through a corridor 'til we reach the crest of the leftside, which keeps you amused at the end, providing a great panoramic view over the massif of Neouvielle and its lakes.

Neouvielle & Ramoung

Jeitsieran, bere amari etengabe deika ari zitzaion arkume galetsia topatu nuen. Ingurunean arditalderik etzegoela, ta axuria niregana babes bila zetorrela ikusita. Besoetan hartu eta aterpea bilatu nahi izan nion. Hegal egiten ibarra zeharkatzen zuten saiek jateko eskubidea dutela badakit. Baina ez arkume hau, momentu honetan. Aukerak. Artaldea bilatu, artzaina bilatu, gendarmerie,... etxera eraman ere (Hau? kanitxe bat... Jajaja). Besoen artean neramala, ordu erdi beherago, zintzarrotsak entzun nituen, ta haiengana gindoazela, bapatean, bere etengabeko deialdiei erantzuten hasi ziren... 30 metrotara utzi eta hurrunetik bere ama ta anai/arreba aurkitzean izan zuen poztasuna baieztatu nuen...

Bajando por este apartado valle, me encontré un corderito, llamando desamparadamente a su mamá. Al ver que no había ninguna oveja en los alrededores, y viendo que el corderito venía a buscar mi abrigo, decidí cogerlo en brazos, y llevarlo a buen refugio. Ya sé que los buitres que sobrevolaban el valle tienen derecho a comer, pero no este cordero, en este instante. Opciones. Buscar su rebaño, buscar su pastor, gendarmerie,... incluso llevármelo a casa (¿Estó? Un caniche... Jajaja). Mientras lo llevaba en brazos, media hora más abajo, oí cencerros, y me dirigí a ellos, de repente contestaban a sus constantes llamadas... Lo dejé a unos 30 metros de las ovejas, y desde la distancia verifiqué su alegría al encontrar a su mamá y su hermanito/a... 

Descending through this solitary valley I found a lost lamb, calling defenseless to his mum. I saw there was no sheep around us. The lamb came to me looking for shelter so I  picked it up in my arms. I know vultures have their right to feed themselves, but no this lamb, at this moment. Options: Search for his flock, search for the shepherd, gendarmerie,... Even take it home (This? This is a poodle... Hahaha). While carrying him in my arms, half an hour further down, I listened some sheep bells, and I went straight to them. Suddenly they started answering the constant calls of the poodl... lamb. I left him on the floor at a distance of 30 meters, and I checked how happy he became when he meet his mum and brother/sister once again...

Nostalgia

Udazkena, aldaketa handien garaia. Amalurran atsedena hastera doa. Batzuetan tristurak gure bixotzak gainhartzen dituela dirudi, baina nik gustoko dut. Tristura hori mineria baino ez da. Oroitzapen politen eta momentu handien mineria. Beraz, atzera begirada bat emateko momentu aproposa, bakarrik une batez, bizitzak gelditzen ez baittu, beti aurreraka, atsedenik gabe ta etengabe gauzak irakasten gaituzten bizipenez beteta.

El otoño, época de grandes cambios. Se prepara el reposo en la madre tierra. A veces, parece que la tristeza invade nuestros corazones, pero a mi me gusta. Esa tristeza en realidad es nostalgia. La nostalgia de grandes momentos y bonitos recuerdos. Es por lo tanto un buen momento para echar una mirada atrás, sólo un instante, porque esta vida no para, siempre hacia delante, sin pausa, un camino lleno de vivencias, las cuales nos enseñan cosas sin cesar.

Autumn, time of changes. Motherearth is ready to rest. Sometimes, it seems we are overcome with sorrow, but I like it. Actually, that sorrow is nostalgia. Nostalgia of great moments and good memories. So, it's a perfect moment for looking back in time, just for a little while, because this life ain't gonna stop, always forward, a path full of experiences, which constantly teaches us things.

BTT Irati 2. Koixta-Irabia

 BTT zirkularra Irati ohianean, Koixta eta Irabia uharkak lotuz.

BTT circular en la selva de Irati, enlazando los dos embalses de Koixta e Irabia.

 Koixtako uharka bidean, Mari jainkoaren gordelekuetako bat den Ori agertzen zaigu.
De camino al embalse de Koixta se nos aparece el Ori. Una de las guaridas de la diosa Mari.

In the way to the dam of Koixta, Ori appears. One of the lairs of the god Mari.

 Lehenbiziko 7.5kmak, Koixtaraino, oso erosoak eta gehien bat beheraka dira.

Los primeros 7.5km, hasta Koixta, son muy cómodos y en gran parte cuesta abajo.
The first 7.5km, to the dam of Koixta, are very comfy and largely downhill.

Uharkako zubia zeharkatu ondoren, gurutze bat dago. Bide nagusiak Ollokiako leporaino, Abodiko aduana zenaraino, jarraitzen du. Guk ordea,  ezkerraldera, Iratiko etxeetara doan bidea hartzen dugu.

Después de cruzar el puente de el embalse, hay una bifurcación. El camino principal continua hacia el collado de Ollokia, en la antigua aduana de Abodi. Nosotros cogemos el desvío a la izquierda que se dirige a las casas de Irati.

After the bridge of the dam, there's a cross. The main track continues to the pass of Ollokia, where the old custom of Abodi was. We have to take a turning to the right which goes to the houses of Irati.

 Koixta

Koixta ondoren, Iratiko etxeetaruntz, hankahauskarri bide bat hasten da. Ibilbidearen zatirik zorrotzena.

Después de Koixta comienza un auténtico rompepiernas hacia las casas de Irati. La parte más exigente del trazado.

After Koixta, a real leg-breaker path begins to the houses of Irati. The most challenging part of the track.

Hemendik aurrera, Iratiko etxeetaraino jeitsiera jolasgarria doa.

A partir de aquí, comienza un divertido descenso hasta las casas de Irati.

From here, a funny downhill starts until the houses of Irati.

Arratsean, eguzki izpiek horizontalki basoan sartzen dira, isladatzeko oso zailak diren argi bitxiak sortaraziz.

Al atardecer los rayos de sol entran en horizontal en el bosque, creando unas luces mágicas, muy dificiles de reflejar.

At dusk, sunlights come horizontal into the forest, creating magic lights, so difficult to reflect.

Iratiko etxeetatik (12km), aparkatokira iristen gara, bertan Irabiako presara doan bidea jarraituko dugularik. Plater handiaz gogor iharduteko bide aproposa...

De las casas de Irati (km12), llegamos al aparcamiento donde cogemos la pista que se dirige a la presa de Irabia. Un trayecto cómodo dónde se puede apretar con plato grande...

From the houses of Irati (Km12), we get the parking where we take the track to the dam of Irabia. An easy track were big plate can be severely put into practice.

Azkenik, iluntasuna gainean datorkigu, mundu berri bat azalaraziz, non basoetako piztiek, azkonar marmarati bat eta orkatz izukor bikote bat bezalaxe, aurkezten direla.

Al final se nos echa la oscuridad encima, mostrándonos un nuevo mundo donde las criaturas del bosque, como un tejón gruñon y una pareja de tímidos corzos, se dejan ver.

At the end, dark falls around us, revealing a new world where criatures of the forest, like a grumpy badger and a pair of shy roe deers, show themselves.

BTT Irati 1 - Abodi

 Irati lur-eremu zabala da (17.195 Ha). Balio natural eta ekologiko handikoa da; izan ere, bertan dago Europako izeidi-pagadirik handienetako bat. BTT ibilbide hau, Tapla lepotik Irabia uharkara jeisten duen errepideko 5.kilometroan dagoen aparkalekutik hasten da. Irati ohianan zehar Ollokia-Pikatua lepora (Abodiko aduana) doan mendipista jarraituz, 16km. Bertatik Las Alforjas pasagunera doan bidea hartzen dugu, Abodi mendizerraren gainetik doan bide eroso batetik, 8km. Las Alforjas pasagunea heldu ostean Iratiko etxeetara doan bide liluragarria hartzen dugu, GRT 9, hasierako pista gurutzatu arte, ondoren abiapuntura itzuliz, 4km.

La Selva de Irati es un extenso territorio, (17.195 Ha). Con un gran valor natural y ecológico, es considerado como uno de los mayores hayedo- abetales de Europa. Este recorrido BTT, comienza en el aparcamiento que hay a mano derecha a 5 kms del paso de Tapla, bajando hacia el embalse de Irabia. Ahí comienza una pista que atraviesa el fondo de la selva de Irati hacía el collado de Ollokia-Pikatua (Aduana de Abodi), 16km. Allí cogemos el camino que va al paso de las Alforjas, a lomos de la sierra de Abodi, 8km. Una vez allí descendemos através del GRT 9 hacia las casas de Irati, hasta que nos cruzamos con la pista del principio, volviendo al punto de partida, 4km.

Irati forest, is an extense territory, (17195Ha). With a great natural and ecologic value, it's considered one of the biggest beechwood-firwood of Europe. This BTT track begins in the parking, of the right side, in the fifth kilometer in the descending from Tapla pass to Irabia dam. There's a mountain-track that goes trough the Irati forest to the pass of Ollokia-Pikatua, 16km. There, we follow the track to the pass of Las Alforjas, over the Abodi mountain, 8km. Once we get there, we descent, following GRT 9, to the houses of Irati, until we cross the mountain-track of the beginning, going back to the departure, 4km.

El tramo entre el collado de Ollokia y el paso de las Alforjas, es un camino cómodo bastante relajado, entre 1350 metros y 1500metros de altura.

The stretch between Ollokia pass and Las Alforjas pass, is and easy and relaxed track, which goes trough 1350-1500 meters of height.
