Musikaz hitzegin dezagun. Pasa den astea, B.B. King maixuak Zurriolako hondartzan kontzertu dohain bat eskeini zuen, Donostiako Jazzaldiari irekiera emanez. Ostiralean, hiri polit honetara hurbildu ginen Anoetako Bon Joviren kontzertua ikusteko. Iker, Ruth eta Iosuneren lagunartean. Kontzertuaren amaieran Alatz, Ainara eta batez ere Saioak gure konpainia jasan behar izan zuten ere.

Hablemos de música. La semana pasada, un concierto gratuito del señor B.B. King, en la playa de la Zurriola (Gros), inauguraba el festival internacional de Jazz de Donostia. El Jazzaldia.  El viernes nos acercamos a esta preciosa ciudad, para el concierto en Anoeta de Bon Jovi. En compañia de Iker, Ruth y Iosune. Alatz, Ainara, y sobre todo Saioa, también debieron soportar nuestra compañia al terminar.

Let's talk about music. Last week, the lord B.B. King played a concert in the beach of Zurriola (Gros) for free, opening the international jazz festival of Donostia. The Jazzaldia. On Friday we came to this beautiful city, for the concert of Bon Jovi in Anoeta. With the company of Iker, Ruth and Iosune. Also Alatz, Ainara and specially Saioa put up with our company at the end.

 Kontzertu oso mugitua. "Slippery when wet" diskari birpasa handia, izan behar den moduan eta "Twist & Shout" abestiarekin bukatu zuten, The Beatles egiten zuten moduan, Johnek abesti horretan ahotsa galtzen zuelako, ni bezalaxe...

 Un concierto muy movido. Gran repaso del "Slippery when wet" como debe ser y cerraron con "Twist and Shout", como lo hacían los Beatles, ya que John, se quedaba sin voz en esa canción, igual que yo...

A lively concert. A great review to the "Slippery when wet", as it must be, and they finished playing "Twist & Shout", as The Beatles used to do, as John used to lose his voice in this song, like me...

Ritchieren riffa ez du inoiz huts egiten. "Wild is the Wind"rekin geratzen naiz, espero ez nuena.

El riff de Ritchie nunca defrauda. Me quedo con "Wild is the wind", que no me la esperaba.

Kontzertuko biharamunean, Perlako zerbitzuen eske joan ginen. Bertan urek gutaz ardura hartzen dutelarik.

Después de la resaca del concierto, requerimos los servicios de la Perla, donde sus aguas siempre nos cuidan muy bien.

After the hangover of the concert, services of La Perla are required, where its waters take care of us very well.

Azkenik, erlaxatuak ta freskaturik, gure gosea alde zaharrean hasetzen dugu, pintxo on batzuren esku.

Por último, relajados y refrescados, saciamos nuestro hambre por el casco antiguo, con unos buenos pintxos.

Para purificar mi espiritu después de los pecados sanfermineros, que mejor que lanzarme con nula preparación, a la travesía integral de la sierra de Aranguren, en bici. Tajonar, Bagadi, Lakidain, Tangorri, Aritzko y Malkaitz. Con mucho esfuerzo y eligiendo bien los caminos, se puede rodear todo el valle de Aranguren sobre la sierra en forma de herradura que lo encierra. En alguna cuesta ni siquiera los famosos solomillos de Irun podrían salvarnos...

To purify our soul after the sins of San Fermin, isn't anything better than crossing the whole mountain range of Aranguren by bike without trainning? Tajonar, Bagadi, Lakidain, Aritzko, Tangorri and Malkaitz. With so much effort and choosing the correct paths, it's posible to surround the whole valley of Aranguren, over the horseshoe shaped range mountain of Aranguren which embraces it. In some ways, even eating the famous sirloin steak of Irun you will be done.

Después de pasar el vértice de tajonar, tenemos un divertido tramo de 2,5km para relajarnos un poco.

After Taxoarehill, we've got a funny track of 2.5km where we can have some relax.

Taxoare mendizerra osoa igaro eta gero, Elortzibarreruntz dagoen begiratoki batek, jeitsieraren hasiera suposatzen du. Baina ia 250 metro ibili ondoren jeitsiera aparta hau alde batera usten dugu, eskubirantz doan bidexka horizontala hartu ostean.

Tras atravesar toda la sierra de Tajonar, un mirador sobre el valle de Elorz, precede a una bajada que apenas saborearemos, ya que apenas recorremos 250 metros, nos desviamos en una zona de lajas por un camino horizontal a la derecha.

After all the range mountain of Taxoare, there's a point of view over the valley of Elortz, which means the beginning of the descent, that after 250m we will leave aside, while taking a horizontal path to the right.

Taxoare ta Bagadi bitarteko Andrikaingo mugako lepora iritsi aurretik, ezpelen artetik jeitsiera hilgarria daukagu.

Antes de llegar al collado de la muga de Andrikain, entre Tajonar y Bagadi, tenemos una bajada mortal entre bojs.

Before getting the pass of Muga of Adrikain, between Tajonar and Bagadi, we've got a deadly descent among boxwood.

Bagadi tontorra heldu ondoren, igarobidea Itzagaondoa aldetik doa, Idoateko lepora iritsi arte.

Después de coronar Bagadi el itinerario pasa a la vertiente de Izagaondoa hasta llegar al Poche Idoate.

After getting to the top of Bagadi, the track goes to the side of Itzagaondoa until it reaches the pass of Idoate.

Idoateko lepotik Lakidain mendiruntz, bidea tenteruntz okertzen da, ia Irulegi gaztelura eramaten gaituzten eskailera batzuetaraino.

Del poche Idoate hacia la peña Lakidain, el camino pica mucho, hasta llegar a unas escaleras que te llevan hasta casi el castillo de Irulegi.

 From the pass of Idoate to the Lakidain hill, the track gets harder until a stairs, which brings you almost to the Irulegi castle.

Irulegiko jeitsieraren lehen zatia, nahiko teknikoa da, ta txirrindulan ordu asko ibili ondoren, ez nago ttonttakerietarako, ahal dudan guztietan oina lurrean jarriz.

La primera parte de la bajada de Irulegi es bastante técnica, y después de varias horas andando empiezo a exigir mejor trato, bajandome de la bici a la mínima. 

In the first part of the descent of Irulegi, enough skill is required. And after some hours on the bike, I demand a better treatment even getting off the bike at every opportunity. 

Lakidaingo lepora iritsi baino lehen, jeitsiera erosoago ta politago jartzen da.

Antes de llegar al collado de Lakidain, el descenso se pone cómodo y bonito.

Lepoan, zelai bat gurutzatzen dugu, bestaldeko pinudi bateruntz, bertan usaketarien bidea jarraitzen dugula.

En el collado, se cruza un campo hasta el pinar de enfrente y se busca el itinerario de las palomeras.

In the pass, we cross a field until the pine forest in front of us, where we look for the path of the pigeon goalhangers.

Batzutan lagungarri da txirrindula lepoan hartzea, puristeentzat baita ere.

En algunos sitios es recomendable echarse la bici al hombro, incluso para los puristas.

Sometimes, taking the bike on our shoulder is recomended, even for the purists.

Aritzko, Tangorri eta Malkaitz tartea, errusiar-mendi jolaskorra bihurtzen da.

El tramo final, entre Aritzko, Tangorri y Malkaitz, es una montaña rusa muy divertida.

Piriniotako txoko honetan oroitzapen oso onak ditut. Basatia, bakartia, ikusgarria, azken finean, daztatzeke den fantasia hutsa. San Ferminetako behartutako oporrak direla eta, Khamûl, Räi, Iosune eta lauok Benasqueruntz abiatzen gara, horren gustoko dugun lasaitasunaren bila.

Guardo un gran recuerdo de este rincón del Pirineo. Salvaje, poco visitado, espectacular, en definitiva, fantasía pura esperando a ser saboreada. Aprovechando las vacaciones obligadas por San Fermín, Khamûl, Räi, Iosune y yo nos dirigimos a Benasque, en busca de esa tranquilidad que tanto nos gusta.

I keep a great memory of this corner of the Pyrenees. Wild, rarely visited, spectacular, in short, pure fantasy waiting to be savoured. Taking advantage of the forced vacation of San Fermin, Khamûl, Rai, Iosune and I headed for Benasque, in search of the tranquility that we all love.

Hasieran, Pianako lepotik Eristeruntz doan GR11tik gindoazen. Baina geroago, norantza aldatu genuen Batisielleseko mendietaruntz, Estoseko ibarran gaina ikusmira zoragarria eskuratuz.

Al principio seguiamos el GR11 dirección Eriste a través del collado de la Piana. Pero luego cambiamos rumbo hacia los Picos de Batisielles, con unas vistas maravillosas sobre el valle de Estós.

At first we followed the GR11 to Eriste through the pass of Piana, but afterwards we changed direction through the Peaks of Batisielles, with a marvellous sights over the valley of Estós.
