Aitzkorri

Aitzkorri, hirumuga deituriko lurralde mugakinean dago. Nafarroa, Araba eta Gipuzkoako mugak topatzen diren lekuan. Aldi honetan, Iosune, Khamûl, Räi nire arreba Atsegine eta bostok nire arbasoen jatorriaren bila abiatzen gara, Asparrenako udalean, Araba. Bertan prehistoria, mitologia eta historia kasketaldiz elkartzen direlarik.

El Aitzkorri es una montaña que se encuentra en una zona divisoria, llamada hirumuga (3 fronteras). Donde las fronteras de Navarra, Araba y Gipuzkoa se juntan.  Esta vez, Iosune, Khamûl, Räi, mi hermana Atsegine y yo nos encaminamos en un viaje al encuentro del origen de mis antepasados, en el municipio de Asparrena, Araba. Donde la prehistoria, mitología, y la historia se juntan de forma caprichosa.

Aitzkorri, a mountain located in a dividing place, called Hirumuga (3 borders), where the border of Navarre, Gipuzkoa and Araba join together. This time, Iosune, Khamûl, Räi, my sister Atsegine and I, head towards the origin of my ancestors, in the municipality of Asparrena (Araba). where prehistory, mithology and history get together in a whimsical way.

Gure plana, Ilarduia eta Egino tartean dagoen Lezea ikustea, ondoren, Araiatik Aitzkorri igotzea, eta bukatzeko nire aitonaren jaioterria  bisitatzea, Egilatz, Aitzkomendi trikuharria ikusteko. Nahiz ta gezurra iruditu arren, nire senitarteko batek aurkitutakoa 1832. urtean. Azkenik, ilunabar liluragarri bat Arrizalako Sorginetxeko trikuharrian.


El plan, trata de visitar la Leze, entre Ilarduia y Egino, luego ascender el Aitzkorri desde Araia, y para terminar visitar Eguilaz donde nació mi abuelo, para ver Aitzkomendi (Monte de roca), un maravilloso dólmen que aunque parezca mentira fue descubierto por un pariente en el año 1832. Por último, un precioso atardecer en el dólmen de Sorginetxe (Guarida de la bruja) en Arrizala.

The plan is about visiting Leze, between Ilarduia and Egino, then ascending Aitzkorri mountain from Araia, and finally a visit to Egilatz, the native village of my grandfather, to see Aitzkomendi (Rock-mountain), a marvellous dolmen which oddly enough was discovered by one of my ancestors in 1832. To say goodbye, a beautiful sunset in Sorginetxe (witch house) dolmen, in Arrizala.

Lezea, kareharrian eginiko 80 metro altuerako ate bat da. Eginoko mendia zeharkatzen duena alde batetik bestera, milloika urteetan zehar Artzanegi errekaren bitartez egina. Euskal mitologian, Herensugeak, musker erraldoi baten itxura duen ipernuetako pizti bat zen, gizakiak oinazeztatzen zituena, leze eta arraildura handietan bizi zena.

La Leze, es una cueva de 80 metros de altura, de piedra caliza, que atraviesa las peñas de Egino de lado a lado por la acción del río Artzanegi, durante millones de años. En la mitología vasca el Herensuge, era una criatura infernal con aspecto de lagarto gigante, que atormentaba a la gente, habitaba en cavernas y grietas profundas.

Leze cave has an entrance of 80mts height and it crosses the limestone mountain of Egino from side to side by the action of Artzanegi river during millions of years. The basque mithology says Herensuge was a hideous creature with the appearence of a gigant lizard that lived in caves and deep crevices and it used to torment people.

Araiatik, 650, Aratz mendiaren ezkerraldean dauden Azkosaroiko larreetara abiatzen gara, pago eta haritz ale ikaragarriak topatu ditzazkegun baso liluragarri batetik zehar.

Desde Araia, 650m, nos dirigimos a la campa de Azkosaroi, a la izquierda del Aratz, a través de un bosque maravilloso, donde podemos contemplar magníficos ejemplares de haya y roble.

From Araia village, 650m, we head to the field of Azkosaroi, on the left of Aratz mountain, through a marvelous forest, where we gaze at magnificent beeches and oaks.

Bide gurutze asko dituen ibilbide jolasgarri eta atsegingarria da hau. Gu, hasieran, San Adriango kobazuloko norabidea jarraitzen dugu. 

Entretenido y divertido es el trayecto por tener numerosos caminos, que se entrelazan. Nosotros debemos dirigirnos en principio, dirección a la cueva de San Adrián.

The route is enjoyable and fun because of the amount of ways you can choose. We must head to the cave of San Adrian.

Pago hostoz beteriko soru gainean ibiltzea oso bitxi eta atsegingarria den dartada da.

Caminar sobre un espeso manto de hojas de hayas, resulta una sensación mágica. 

Walking over a dense mantle of leaves becomes such a magic feeling.

Hemen, gero eta altuago igo, hare eta handiagoa da zuhaitzetako udazken aldaketa.

Aquí, cuanto más altura se gana más se aprecia el cambio otoñal de los árboles.

Here, the higher you ascend the more you can appreciate the autumnal change.

Borda bat duen Azkosaroi larrea heldu ostean, jeitsi behar dugu zuhaitzetako marka zurigorriak jarraituz.

Después de alcanzar la campa de Azkosaroi, donde encontramos una borda, se desciende siguiendo las marcas rojiblancas en los árboles.

After reaching the field of Azkosaroi, where a little cottage is, we descend following the red-white marks in the trees.

 Lauburudun hirusta topatuz gero, norbaiti oparituz, zoriona izango duzu zurekin.

Si al encontrar un trébol de cuatro hojas, lo obsequias, la buena suerte te acompañará.

If you give as a present a four-headed shamrock, you'll have good luck.

Aratz, 1442m. Bere eskuinaldeko ertzan dagoen lepo txiki baten azpian, Azkosaroi larrea ikusten da. Gu lepo horren bestaldetik gatoz. Atzekaldeko eskuinaldean, Entzia Mendizerra.
